Stopping the electricity price brake drives inflation

The discontinuation of the government's measures to curb electricity prices pushed inflation up sharply in January.

Consumer prices rose by 3.2 per cent year-on-year. By way of comparison, inflation in December 2024 was only 2.0 per cent.
