EUA prices fell slightly compared to last week after an unsuccessful attempt to reach the year's highs. Prices stopped just below the high for the year and subsequently corrected.
EUA prices are now moving against the direction of investment funds as data shows that funds have increased their net long position by almost 9% to over 60 million tonnes. Despite the extremely large position on rising prices, the market has been unable to break higher in the last two weeks, suggesting that the current upward movement is losing momentum.
